There’s vigorous discussion, albeit angry disagreement these days, about the spirit of independence. Are we “born to run” with fundamental human rights and freedoms?
What happens when we censor voices, ideas and discontent? What will our post-pandemic world look like – will national identities disappear and will history be rewritten?
These are questions that each must ask of ourselves but “What If”, as WomanScape so aptly titled our latest WS Magazine, some of the answers already exist? After all, the word democracy comes from the word “demos” meaning common people and “kratos” meaning strength.
This week’s changemaker, Dr. Harbeen Arora, is the Founder and Global Chairperson of the All Ladies League (ALL) and Women Economic Forum (WEF). An idea to support other women entrepreneurs started from a grassroots idea. Years later, it’s blossomed into a network of 150,000 women thriving in an ecosystem to close the She-She Gender Gap.
