The rain was coming down hard as the guide snapped the harness onto my safety belt. Humming lyrics from jazz great Nina Simone, I climbed to the top of the Sydney Bridge. Suddenly the rain stopped and the sun came out, pushing the clouds and any reservations I had to the side.
I would build a bridge connecting myself to the world and “make it a bold one.”
The spell was cast, WomanScape was born and that 400 foot bridge no longer seems so high, now that I’ve trekked in the Arctic and climbed another19,000 feet to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Looking back, I am proof that each of us can build our dreams and a better future, if we commit to learning and fearless growth. Taking that first step is everything.
