A Lens Beyond COVID-19

My father (second from the left below) was born into the Depression Era and died on the eve of the World Health Organization’s announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am convinced he lives on and his rich legacy was born from the challenges that shaped his purpose-filled life.

In this spirit, WomanScape watches as the world grapples with the fears and pandemonium caused by uncertainty and sickness. We believe inspiration, positivity and a deep understanding of the power of purpose have never been more critical as we share a living library of people changing history.

WS Week Ahead: Photographer Prisscila Baxter

Enjoy this Monday’s WS Art Card, which features a stoic photo by National Geographic collaborator, Prisscila Baxter. Her magnificent art reminds us to dream and believe nothing is impossible. Each of us is extraordinary and effects change.

Wednesday, Lise Floris shares Prisscila’s transformative story and two of her captivating photos that won the attention of National Geographic. Don’t forget to tune in this Friday for Day 2 of Rose’s 7-day climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. You can follow Rose’s epic adventure on WS’s YouTube channel as we share her journey every Friday.

In case you missed it, here is Day 1 from Climbing Kilimanjaro.

Kilimanjaro and WS Cares

From the rooftop of Africa’s Kilimanjaro to each of you in your homes, we encourage you to extend a hand to the elderly and those in your neighborhood that might need comfort from worry or food to weather the COVID-19 isolation period.

As we work to bring you our next WS magazine issue FREEDOM (available in April), we thank you for following our journey and supporting the WS Cares initiatives. With your help, we’ve help thousands of dollars and awareness for Rett’s Syndrome and Ava’s story.

Praying you stay safe and healthy, we remain ever-grateful and inspired.

As always,

Rose and the WomanScape Team
