Courage Starts With Showing Up

Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.

Brene Brown

So why is it that so many of us can’t wait to hide out? We binge watch our favorite streaming shows and often find ways to do just about anything else except what we know we ought to be doing. Why?

Showing up is tough. Not letting others define who we are is even harder. When we go through the motions of life without a sense of purpose or meaning, don’t be fooled – it chips away at our self-esteem and courage.

Whenever I start to feel empty and don’t quite know why, I remind myself that I have a path and purpose. We all run out of gas and need to fill our tanks.

I do this by stepping away from risk, worry and disappointment. I tell myself I matter. I have the power to change lives and will. We all do.

So as we say goodbye to our month-long July series of fearless women, shifting to conversation to technology and people shaping its future, stay inspired by what you have to offer the world.

Progress, happiness and success are built on our human ability to connect to self and each other.

Have a great weekend, and don’t forget you have some reading to do. Our latest WS Magazine August Issue is HERE or you can read it below. See you Sunday as well for our weekly WS Newsletter.
